“Ek Shaam Women Empowerment Ke Naam” – School Exhibition and Competitions Mark the Ahabab Fun Fair

In the event Ahbab Fun Fair, held on February 13, a vibrant and inspiring event titled “Ek Shaam Women Empowerment Ke Naam” was held as part of the Ahbab Fun Fair 2026 celebrations. The programme saw enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and distinguished guests, creating a lively atmosphere of empowerment and celebration.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Vaishali Ramesh Chopde, President of Sakardrishti Social Foundation. The Chief Guest was Mr. Vikas Thakre, MLA (West Nagpur). Special guests included Smt. Mamta Bajrang Thakur (Corporator, Prabhag No. 11, Jhingabai Takli), Smt. Sunita Deepak Tabhane (Corporator, Prabhag No. 10, Borgaon), and invitee Dr. Sakeel Sattar, Chairman of the Governing Body at Anjuman College of Engineering and Technology.

Four Major Competitions Highlight the Evening

The programme featured four exciting competitions and activities:

School Exhibition – Coordinated by Smt. Omme Aram Deeba and Smt. Ashwini Pande.

Drawing Competition – Coordinated by Mrs. Deepa Yadav, with acclaimed mixed media artist Mrs. Uzma Firdous (Instagram: @artforheartbyuzma) serving as the jury.

Mehendi Competition – Coordinated by Nahid Sheikh, judged by renowned mehendi artist Syed Sumayya Naaz (Naaz Mehendi).

Open Mic Competition – Coordinated by Ashwini Lonkar, judged by Dr. Samina Anjum (BUMS, PDCC – Clinical Cosmetology, Laser & Trichology), ICU Resident at Crescent Hospital and Heart Center, and Owner & Consultant at Medheal Aesthetic Clinic.

The event was convened by Smt. Nilofar Khan (HM Incharge). Photography was skillfully handled by Smt. Alfiya Sheikh, with Smt. Vaishali Bharti providing support as programme coordinator. The games stall was managed by Ashwini Pande, and the food stall featuring bhel was organised by Shamim Bano.

Strong Support Ensured the Event’s Success

The success of the programme was made possible with the backing of School President Mr. Usman Khan, Vice President Mr. Syed Aijazur Rahim, Secretary Dr. Saquib Hussain, and Treasurer Abdul Rashid Khan. Additional support came from Dr. Saziya Anjum (Founder, Steps School), Tirupati Urban Co-operative Bank, Holy Faith Publication, and Books Corporation of India.The evening concluded on a melodious note with Mrs. Kirti enchanting the audience with soulful renditions of popular film songs, adding a charming touch to the empowering celebration.
