Fog Continues to Disrupt Winter Flight Schedules at Nagpur Airport

Flight operations at Nagpur Airport remained affected on Sunday as cold weather and dense fog persisted, causing delays across several routes. Although earlier disruptions caused by IndiGo this month have mostly subsided, current delays are primarily due to poor visibility.Compared to the previous days, the number of delayed flights was slightly lower on Sunday, but passengers still faced inconvenience, especially on the Delhi sector.

Fortunately, no flight cancellations were reported, offering some relief to travelers.Morning arrivals from Delhi were mostly on time, but worsening fog in the afternoon began to impact flight schedules. Three Delhi-bound flights experienced delays. IndiGo flight 6E 6696 from Delhi to Nagpur arrived nearly 90 minutes late, while its return flight 6E 6697 from Nagpur to Delhi was delayed by about an hour.

Similar delays were noted on the Nagpur–Mumbai and Nagpur–Indore routes. Air India flights on the Nagpur–Delhi sector were also affected. Flight AI 415 from Delhi to Nagpur departed over two hours late, landing at 10:22 am instead of the scheduled 8:05 am. The return flight, AI 416, left Nagpur at 10:50 am instead of 8:40 am and reached Delhi at 12:37 pm, delayed by more than an hour.

Additionally, Air India’s Mumbai–Nagpur flight AI 2583 faced delays, further contributing to passenger inconvenience as fog continued to disrupt winter flight operations at Nagpur Airport.  Meanwhile Nagpur experienced mild winter conditions over the past 24 hours, with temperatures remaining steady and no rainfall reported, according to the latest regional weather updates.

The city recorded a maximum temperature of 28.6°C, showing a slight increase of 0.4°C compared to the previous day. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature dropped marginally to 9.6°C, indicating cool and pleasant night conditions across the area.Relative humidity was measured at 64% at 8:30 am, while morning visibility ranged between 4 and 10 kilometers, suggesting mostly clear to slightly hazy skies.

The absence of rainfall over the last day contributed to the stable weather pattern.Overall, Nagpur’s weather remained calm and dry, with comfortable daytime warmth and cool nights typical of the winter season in the region.
