Main Cable Fire Near Dabha-Katol Naka Disrupts Power Supply Across Multiple Nagpur Localities

A major power outage hit several residential and commercial areas near the Dabha-Katol Naka junction after a massive fire broke out along a main electricity cable line. In a swift emergency response, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) successfully shifted the affected power grid load to an alternate feeder line and is currently restoring electricity across the affected pockets in a phased, area-wise manner.

According to senior MSEDCL officials, the current power restoration status varies across the affected sectors:

  • Partial Supply: Certain localities are temporarily functioning on a single-phase supply system.
  • Full Restoration: Complete power has already been successfully restored to several primary sectors.
  • Ongoing Outages: A few remaining pockets continue to experience complete power outages as technical teams work on the primary cable lines.

MSEDCL Issues Public Appeal for Load Management

To ensure grid stability and accelerate the recovery process, the state power discom has issued an urgent advisory to local residents.

Official Advisory: MSEDCL appeals to all citizens in the surrounding areas to minimize their electricity consumption today. Reducing the use of heavy appliances will prevent overloading the alternate feeder system and ensure a stable, uninterrupted restoration process for the entire grid.
