The Nagpur Traffic Police has increased preparations for Independence Day to ensure public safety. Authorities have issued a strong warning against performing dangerous bike stunts, speeding, and reckless driving on city roads.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Aditya Mirkhelkar, urged citizens to celebrate August 15 with enthusiasm while strictly following traffic rules. He emphasized that national celebrations should reflect pride without putting public safety at risk.
Traffic police will closely monitor young riders during the celebrations. Performing bike stunts, speeding, or weaving through traffic will result in strict legal action. Authorities have made it clear that public roads must not be used as arenas for stunts.
Four-wheeler drivers will also face monitoring by the traffic department. Drivers who park in the middle of roads, speed, or disrupt smooth traffic movement will be penalized. Any action that increases the risk of road accidents will not be tolerated.
Motorists carrying the Tricolour on two-wheelers are asked to follow all safety regulations carefully. Riders must wear helmets, maintain safe speeds, and avoid risky behavior while displaying the national flag.
Finally, the traffic department called on all residents to celebrate responsibly. The police want everyone to enjoy the national holiday while keeping Nagpur’s roads safe for all commuters.
