Nagpur’s Nash Nusrat Ali Appointed National Secretary of Women’s Congress

Nash Nusrat Ali, a seasoned and active woman leader from Nagpur, has been appointed National Secretary of the All India Mahila Congress Committee. The All India Congress Committee recently announced the new national executive for the Mahila Congress, comprising eight General Secretaries and 24 Secretaries.

The appointment letter, issued by AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal, hailed the decision as historic for the Congress organization in Nagpur. For the first time in 40 years, a woman Congress worker from Nagpur city has secured representation in the National Executive Committee of the All India Mahila Congress.

Nash Nusrat Ali is the first woman from Nagpur to hold this prestigious position, having previously served as President of the Nagpur City Mahila Congress.Additionally, she is the first woman from Nagpur’s minority community to be appointed to this role. Expressing her gratitude, Nash Nusrat Ali thanked the senior Congress leadership, including All India Mahila Congress president Alka Lamba.

She emphasized that entrusting a national-level responsibility to a grassroots woman leader underscores the party’s confidence in women’s leadership. Her appointment has generated great enthusiasm among women Congress workers in Nagpur city.
