Nagpur: To boost passenger convenience and upgrade station facilities, Central Railway’s Nagpur Division has unveiled a Smart Digital Luggage Locker system at Nagpur Railway Station.This initiative, part of the Non-Fare Revenue (NFR) program, has been outsourced for three years and offers travelers a secure, automated, and user-friendly way to store luggage.
The advanced digital lockers are located near the Upper Class Waiting Hall concourse.Passengers can independently access lockers using an OTP and QR code system, removing the need for staff assistance. The entire process, including payment, is fully digital and cashless, ensuring speed, transparency, and ease.Compared to traditional cloakrooms, these Smart Digital Lockers provide better security, faster service, and greater convenience. Charges vary by locker size and duration:
- Medium lockers: Rs 55 (4 hrs), Rs 70 (6 hrs), Rs 120 (24 hrs)
- Large lockers: Rs 70 (4 hrs), Rs 100 (6 hrs), Rs 150 (24 hrs)
- Extra-large lockers: Rs 100 (4 hrs), Rs 150 (6 hrs), Rs 250 (24 hrs)
The rate chart will be clearly displayed at the station for passenger reference.Following Nagpur, the Smart Digital Locker system will be introduced at Wardha, Chandrapur, and Ballarshah stations through upcoming auction processes. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
