A stone-pelting incident was reported on the Mumbai-bound Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express while the train was traveling on Friday night. Unknown miscreants allegedly hurled stones at the moving train, damaging two air-conditioned coaches, A1 and B2.
According to a passenger named Kunal, who was traveling on the train when the attack occurred, the incident took place somewhere near Gondkhairi, though official confirmation regarding the exact spot is awaited. “We were traveling on the Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express when stones were thrown at the train. Coaches A1 and B2 were affected. The incident appears to have taken place somewhere near Gondkhairi,” Kunal stated.
Following the impact, the train was temporarily halted at Wardha station. Railway authorities, alongside the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP), immediately initiated an inquiry into the matter. Officials are reviewing the damage and gathering eyewitness statements to establish the exact location of the attack and identify those responsible. The matter is getting viral at the moment as is becoming the new talk of the town.
