A shocking kidnapping unfolded on Tuesday afternoon in the Kapurhol area near Nasrapur Village, Bhor Tehsil, Pune district, when the 18-year-old son of a well-known businessman was abducted in broad daylight. The youth was taken away in an XUV car, causing alarm throughout the locality.
The boy’s father quickly alerted authorities through the Village Security System (Gram Suraksha Yantrana), and the Jejuri Police Station, part of the Pune Rural Police Force, sprang into action. Upon receiving the tip-off, the police immediately set up roadblocks in surrounding areas to intercept the suspect vehicle.During their search, officers spotted a suspicious car heading towards Pisurti village in Purandar Tehsil.
When police tried to stop the vehicle, it became stuck in a sugarcane field due to the narrow road. Though the kidnappers fled on foot, the police managed to rescue the young businessman’s son unharmed.A police official credited the swift rescue to the cooperation of local villagers and the prompt establishment of roadblocks.
“The safe recovery of the boy was possible thanks to the villagers’ support and quick police action. The search for the kidnappers is ongoing,” the official said.The Jejuri police continue their investigation, working to identify those responsible, uncover the motive behind the kidnapping, and determine if others were involved in the conspiracy.
