Grand Tricolour at Kasturchand Park to Be Unveiled by CM Tomorrow

The national flag, a powerful symbol embodying the values of courage, peace, and prosperity for all citizens, is set to be unfurled and dedicated to the nation by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Kasturchand Park ground on Saturday at 9:30 am. This monumental flag installation will feature a towering 200-foot mast, making it one of the tallest flagpoles in the region. The tricolour itself will measure an impressive 60 feet by 40 feet, serving as a vivid emblem of India’s unity in diversity, secularism, and the democratic spirit enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
This grand memorial is the brainchild of US-based architect Shantanu Bhalla, whose design captures the essence of national pride and unity. The execution of the project was led by architect Shantanu Bajaj, ensuring that the vision was brought to life with precision and excellence. Collector Itankar played a pivotal role in overseeing the project from inception to completion, with valuable support from Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Chaudhari, who helped coordinate various aspects of the endeavor.The idea for the flag memorial was originally conceived in 2009 by Dr Vijay Darda, a prominent public figure and visionary.
The foundation stone for the project was ceremoniously laid by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in 2016, marking a significant milestone in the journey toward realizing this symbol of national pride.The unveiling ceremony is expected to draw a notable gathering, including several ministers, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), and other civic leaders.
This event not only celebrates the grandeur of the flag but also reinforces the enduring values that the tricolour represents for every Indian. It promises to be a momentous occasion, highlighting patriotism and unity for all who attend.
