NMC ‘Mega Cleanliness Campaign’: E-waste Collection Drive at 75 Centres on June 14

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has announced that it will set up 75 electronic waste (e-waste) collection centers across the city on Sunday, June 14, 2026. This initiative is a major part of the ongoing 15-day “Mega Cleanliness Campaign,” which kicked off on World Environment Day and will run until International Yoga Day on June 21. Launched under the direction of the Mayor and the Municipal Commissioner, the special drive aims to bring citizens together to make Nagpur cleaner, healthier, and greener.
To make the disposal process convenient for residents, the 75 centers will be spread out across various accessible locations. The network includes one central hub at the NMC headquarters, 10 centers at different NMC zonal offices, 29 at local NMC schools, 25 at public libraries, and 10 at dedicated RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) centers. Citizens can drop off their old, broken, or unused electronics at any of these locations between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM on the designated day.
The civic body has issued an appeal to all residents and business owners urging them not to discard electronic items in the open or let them pile up inside their homes and offices. Storing e-waste improperly can pose serious environmental and public health risks over time. Instead, the NMC is inviting everyone to actively participate in this mega campaign by safely handing over their electronic scrap to the nearest collection center this Sunday.
