Siya Goyal, the prime accused in the chilling murder of her fiancé Ketan Agarwal, showed a complete lack of remorse as she flashed an obscene gesture at journalists outside her residence.
Initially reported as a tragic accident, the case has taken a dark turn. Goyal, who allegedly plotted the murder with her lover, was caught on camera showing the middle finger to media personnel while being escorted by the Pune Rural Police.
The Gesture Captured on Camera
A 17-second video released by news agency IANS on X (formerly Twitter) shows Goyal walking out of her Market Yard residence in Pune following a police reconstruction of the crime scene. Dressed in a black T-shirt with her face covered by a printed scarf, Goyal looked directly at the cameras attempting to film her and flipped them off.
The video quickly went viral, sparking massive outrage online. Netizens slammed her behavior, with one user calling her “entitled,” while another remarked, “As evil as they come — no remorse.”
From ‘Accidental Fall’ to Cold-Blooded Murder
The incident dates back to June 18, when Ketan Agarwal tragically fell to his death into a deep valley at the historic Lohagad Fort near Pune.
- The Initial Cover-Up: Goyal originally claimed that Agarwal had simply slipped and fallen, prompting the police to register an Accidental Death Report (ADR).
- The Suspicion: Detectives grew highly suspicious of Goyal due to her strangely stoic behavior and complete lack of grief following her fiancé’s death.
- The Arrest: A deeper investigation exposed a sinister plot, leading to the arrest of Goyal and her lover, Chetan Chaudhary.
A Deadly Love Triangle
Goyal and Agarwal’s families had already arranged their marriage, with a grand wedding scheduled for this coming November. However, police reveal that Chaudhary was furious about the engagement, viewing Agarwal as an obstacle to his relationship with Goyal. The duo then conspired to eliminate him.
A Failed First Attempt: The investigation revealed this wasn’t their first try. On June 14, Goyal took Agarwal to the fort and pushed him, but he miraculously survived by grabbing onto a cliffside bush. Goyal covered her tracks by screaming about a fake snake sighting and hugging him to deflect suspicion. Unfazed, she lured him back to the fort days later—this time bringing Chaudhary along to successfully push Agarwal into the gorge from behind.
