PMC Blacklists 13 Unauthorized Schools in Pune; Parents Warned Against Admissions
The Primary Education Department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) issued a critical public alert on May 6, 2026, identifying 13 schools operating illegally within city limits. These institutions lack valid government recognition, and the civic body has warned that students enrolled here face “serious academic setbacks and long-term disadvantages.”
To protect students’ futures, PMC has directed block education officers to shut down these operations immediately. Authorities are required to place warning boards outside these campuses and publish public notices to prevent any further admissions for the 2026–27 academic year.
