To ensure a safe, reliable, and uninterrupted electricity supply, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has scheduled a planned power shutdown across several areas of Nagpur city and Butibori on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The temporary outage is necessary to carry out crucial preventive maintenance and infrastructure upgrades aimed at minimizing power disruptions during the ongoing monsoon season.
The scope of work includes installing AB switches, re-jumpering power lines, trimming trees near electrical lines, removing outdated equipment, shifting power lines for road-widening projects, and charging Ring Main Units (RMU).
Shutdown Schedule and Affected Areas:
- 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Vinkar Vasahat, Arya Car Showroom, South Point School, Infinity Clinic, Kalyaneshwar Nagar, Geeta Nagar, Vanrai Nagar, Parivartan Chowk, Diwan Layout, Rai Imperial, Orchid, Pioneer, Green Lawn, Shahu Nagar, Narayan Vidyalaya, Rachana Apartment, HP Petrol Pump, Rajaram Nagar, Chikhli, and Khapri Naka.
- 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM: Shivaji Park.
- 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM: Orange City and Kalimata area.
- 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM: Tapasya Convent, Akash Nagar, Avdhoot Nagar, Vidnyan Nagar, Shesh Nagar, Mahakali Nagar, Darshan Colony, Gangabai Ghat, Ganga Vihar, Venkatesh Nagar, Ekatmata Nagar, Dongre Layout, Abhijeet Society, Pooja Layout, Dadaji Nagar, Wankhede Layout, Deendayal Nagar, Trimurti Nagar, Bhamti, Gedam Layout, and surrounding localities.
- 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM: Gujarwadi, Chandak Layout, and Cotton Market Chowk.
- 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Nandanvan Main Road, Mangalmurti Chowk, Kirti Sweets Road, Nandanvan, Women’s College area, Bhande Plot Chowk, Kabir Nagar, Mire Layout, Bapu Nagar, and Sheetal Mata Mandir.
- 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM: Butibori Industrial Area (A Zone, Phase-II).
