The Professional Solidarity Forum (PSF), Nagpur Chapter successfully hosted an immersive two-day Photography Workshop on July 11 and 12, 2026. Designed to take participants from basic to advanced photography techniques, the initiative aimed to encourage professionals and students to channel their leisure time into meaningful, creative, and productive artistic pursuits.
The workshop was led by renowned photography enthusiast Er. Khalid Khan, who shared his extensive field experience and technical expertise with a diverse group of 30 enthusiastic participants.
Day 1: Mastering the Fundamentals (July 11)
The workshop kicked off with an interactive classroom theory session focused on building a strong technical and creative foundation. Key topics covered included:
- Camera Anatomy & Mechanics: Understanding how gear operates.
- The Exposure Triangle: Mastering the balance between Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO.
- Artistic Composition: Learning framing, lighting, metering, white balance, and various shooting modes.
- Post-Processing: Introduction to the basics of digital editing.
The primary focus of the first day was to help participants develop a “creative eye” while simultaneously mastering their camera settings.
Day 2: Hands-On Fieldwork at Gorewada (July 12)
For the practical session, the cohort moved outdoors to the scenic Gorewada Nature Trail. Under the direct mentorship of Mr. Khalid Khan, participants navigated real-world shooting environments to refine their observation skills.
The outdoor session allowed the group to experiment with capturing:
- Wild landscapes and local wildlife.
- Natural light play and intricate textures.
- Environmental portraiture.
Review and Looking Forward
The workshop concluded with a constructive critique session, where Mr. Khalid Khan reviewed the photographs captured by the participants and provided personalized feedback for continuous growth. Wrapping up the event, Mr. Muzammil Khan extended a vote of thanks to the resource team and the attendees for dedicating their weekend to the initiative.
Through this successful program, the PSF Nagpur Chapter continues to champion skill development, lifelong learning, and personal growth by helping individuals transform creative hobbies into avenues for artistic expression.
